The LA Marathon was everything.
Three best friends from Georgia taking on the West Coast—what could be better? From the moment we landed, the energy was unmatched, and somehow it only kept getting better.
Let’s start with the expo… because WOW. Easily one of the best. So many incredible brands, endless freebies (we were loaded), and the vibes were just next level. It felt like a full-on celebration of running, community, and showing up. LA really set the tone before race day even began—and it was above and beyond.
Race morning came, and we were ready.
The weather? Hot. No way around it. But we knew going in that you play the hand you’re dealt, and we were all in.
One of the most surreal moments of the entire weekend—Georgie starting with the professional women. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime, “did this just happen?” kind of moment. Possibly peaked forever, honestly. That meant miles of LA streets were hers. It might sound like it would feel lonely, but it was the complete opposite. The crowd support was unreal—loud, constant, and full of life in a way only LA can deliver. People showed up and showed OUT.
Meanwhile, Courtney and Jackie were out there having the time of their lives. Their race report? Equal parts chaos and magic. Think: hot dogs being grilled on the sidelines, free beer, donut holes, and cheers at every single turn. It was the kind of course that distracts you from the miles—in the best way.
And despite the heat, both of them absolutely crushed it, cruising in under 4 hours. On any day, that’s incredible—but in those conditions? Next level.
After the finish, it was time to celebrate—and we did just that. The rest of the day (and weekend) was filled with soaking up everything we love about the West Coast: sunshine, good food, great energy, and that “we just did that” feeling.
And one more thing…
We debuted our checkered set at the marathon, and let’s just say—it had its moment. Official drop coming mid-May… stay tuned.
LA, you were unforgettable.
