Bolt Run Co was born from the eye of a storm—literally. After Hurricane Helene devastated our hometown, what remained was one realization: life is too short to keep waiting. For founder and marathon runner Georgie, that clarity ignited a dream that had been quietly burning—to create an athletic brand that empowered women to run boldly, freely, and without apology.

She picked up the phone and called her sister Rachel and her friend Maggie. Together, they turned devastation into determination. What came next was Bolt Run Co—a brand built by women, for women, with one purpose: to help every woman discover the superpower within her stride.

 

MEET THE TEAM

Meet Georgie:

Georgie is the founder of Bolt Run Co. and a 2:59 marathoner who built the brand out of a desire to race in gear that felt as bold and expressive as the sport itself. After struggling to find performance apparel that matched her vision of style on the start line, she created Bolt to bring something new to running—gear designed to stand out, celebrate, and perform at the highest level.

Outside of racing, Georgie is a full-time photographer who has traveled to more than 20 countries, constantly inspired by the intersection of sport, culture, and design. She’s especially obsessed with Italy, a place that continues to shape her creative perspective. She is a two-time Boston Marathon finisher but her favorite race will always be the Rome Marathon — where her passion for friendship, running and her love for Italy meet. Through Bolt, Georgie is redefining what it looks like to show up on race day with confidence, joy, and unmistakable style.

 

Meet Maggie:

Bolt Run Co.’s lead product designer, Maggie blends deep experience in athletic apparel with an instinct for fashion-forward design. With a sharp eye for styling and a love for a great bargain, Maggie is always trend shopping while analyzing fit, fabric, and color down to the smallest detail. Her days are spent usually on calls with suppliers with one earbud in, planning 18+ different product launches, approving fabric swatches and fits all while playing Minnie mouse with her 2 year old.

Bolt holds a special place in her heart. Maggie and Georgie first bonded over styling photoshoots in high school, thrifting outfits and posting them to Instagram back in 2013. Now, launching this brand together—and creating some of the most fun and thoughtfully designed running products on the market—feels like a full-circle moment.

Meet Rachel:

Rachel plays a key role in bringing Bolt’s ideas into the real world — from in-person selling events to community moments on race day. A trained physician and passionate runner, she brings both expertise and heart to everything she does. Her running journey started unexpectedly when she signed up for her first marathon before she was even a runner, all for the sake of a girls trip.

Rachel brings a playful, feminine spirit to everything she does — she loves all things girly, from needlepoint to shopping, and is especially excited to fill her own closet with Bolt gear. As Georgie’s older sister, she truly never knows what adventure the two of them will be up to next. She has a feeling Bolt might be their best yet!

 

WHY "BOLT"?

The name Bolt symbolizes many things but one of those is the lightning spark that Hurricane Helene left in its wake. For our team and many others, it was a moment of destruction that has transformed into a source of strength. It reminds us that even the fiercest storms can forge something powerful. Every run, every race, every challenge is a chance to turn hardship into momentum.
